Open Out is a third party reporting scheme. If you live in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough, in England you can report any Prejudice Incident or Hate Crime to us confidentially. You can also choose to remain anonymous.

We will work together to make sure that you get the support that you need if you have been a victim of Hate Crime. If you choose to report the incident to the Police we can act as an intermediary and help you through the process.

Open Out is a multi-agency project which offers support, advice and information to victims and witnesses of any Hate Crime or prejudice incident. The scheme has been successfully helping people since 2001. It was set up following the McPhearson report, which came out of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry.

Open Out works across Cambridgeshire in Cambridge City, South Cambs, East Cambs, Huntingdonshire, Peterborough and Fenland.
