Hate Crimes against a Gypsy or Traveller is any criminal offence that is motivated by hostility or prejudice based on the victims real or presumed heritage or culture.
It can take many form, including insults, verbal abuse, bullying, assault, theft, and damage to property, discrimination including not being served or allowed entry to shops or public places. This kind of Hate Crime is treating someone differently or unfairly simply of who they are.
No one has the right to make you feel bad or abuse you. If you have experienced a Hate Crime you can report it to Open Out. There are also other support organisations and groups in your area ad we've listed some of them below.

Ormiston Trust
The Ormiston Trust is a registered charity that works to improve the wellbeing of children, young people and their families, what ever their circumstances.
Team for Traveller Education
This service is provided by Cambridgeshire County Council. The team address inequalities of achievement and access to education by Gypsy and Traveller children. They offer advice and support to school pupils as well as primary and secondary schools.
