Don't Suffer in Silence!

Telling someone about what's happening is the first step towards getting support and resolving the situation. 

Reporting a Hate Crime to the police can be daunting and is not the only option.  You can report any prejudice incident or Hate Crime to Open Out annonymously and confidentially, we will then talk to you about your options and any support you need.  We can also act as an intermediary with the police and support you through the process if you report to the police.

Open Out

You can report any prejudice incidents and hate crimes confidentially and anonymously, receive support, and help in dealing with the police.
When you call Open Out we will transfer your case to an Open Out Co-ordinator in your area.

The Police

You can report any prejudice incidents and hate crimes to the police, they can investigate. The police are also an emergency service if you are in immediate danger.

Safeguarding Of Vulnerable Adults team

If you're concerned about a vulnerable adult who has been the victim of prejudice or hate crime the SOVA team is the department of social services who you should contact.
